iCONECT offer no- charge licensing for pro bono cases

Here’s an interesting development. iCONECT, makers of the iCONECT-XERA document review platform, has announced that those engaged on Pro Bono projects can use XERA for no charge on those projects. There is a press release about this here.

Licensing is available on this basis to all current iCONECT XERA law firm, corporate and government clients as well as from select iCONECT litigation support providers. The press release says that this licensing is meant to encourage firms to take on Pro Bono projects by removing the barrier of outside costs.

This is a really pleasing initiative and I look forward to hearing how it goes. I understand that the initial reaction in the US has been extremely positive.

This follows a recent announcement that iCONECT is making XERA available in a public access version, called iCONECT-PublicAccess, available for use where a controlled set of information or documents must be made available for public access via an internal or external Internet connection. There is a press release about iCONECT-PublicAccess here

While on the subject of iCONECT XERA, there is an iCONECT webinar on 13 November about the enhanced analytics features of the including its new predictive review. There is more information and a link to the registration form here.
